zulu modem zulu modem zulu modem zulu modem d dd ds ss s- -- -z zz zu uu ul ll lu uu u m mm mo oo od dd de ee em mm m- -- -1 11 1 application circuit application circuit application circuit application circuit connection of the zulu modem to an rs232 or usb host terminal device such as a p c serial port may easily be achieved using the application s chematic below. the 9 way d socket (j1) provides the standard pin out required to connect directly to the serial port of any std pc using a 9 way male/female cable. the max3232 (a low voltage rs232 line driver) provides level conversion between the rs232 levels on the serial port and the logic levels pins of the zulu modem module. alternatively the same can be achieved using the zu lu eval boards
